Advances in technology have vastly improved the level of care to our patients over the last number of years. One of those technologies is called Spinal Thermography which compares infrared temperature measurements along both sides of the spine. This helps us to both locate and understand a patient’s spinal problems. We also use it to monitor the patient’s progress as they improve through the course of their recommended plan of care. The concept is that areas of temperature differences along the spine indicate areas of nerve irritation and inflammation. The visual output on the computer is graphically very informative and a great tool to help the patient see not only the degree of problem but also is very encouraging to see as they get better.
